Luke 4:16 "...as His Custom was," are words pregnant with revelation concerning one of Jesus' regular, weekly activities.
A Custom is a ritual or routine activity with special significance. Luke 4:16 "...as His Custom was," are words pregnant with revelation concerning one of Jesus' regular, weekly activities.
Jesus was so passionate about this in His earthly ministry that our Heavenly Father ensured it was recorded in Scripture for perpetuity.
"Jesus went to Church Every Week!" Yes, it's true Y'all, Jesus had a weekly routine of going to church. One of the few thing we know about the early life of Jesus was, when He was 12 years old, they found him in church discussing the scriptures with the Doctors and Elders (Luke 2:45-47).
If you say you want to be more like Jesus, going to church should be a joy for you. The next time you ask yourself the question "What Would Jesus Do", remember, He went to Church Every Week and so should You!

Hi pastor. Thank you for this blog. Reading this article is like taking a weight of someone's shoulder. It means so much to hear you say this particular thing. In the body of church there have been many conversations on why go to church and when to go to church. You hit it right on the head. I will be waiting for you to teach more on this later. What a great passage!
