OVERCOMING LAZINESS

The sloth is a tropical mammal that lives its life hanging upside-down from tree branches. Sloth’s crawl at the rate of ten feet per minute (meaning their top sprint is one-ninth of one mile per hour). LOL

Sloth’s are generally sluggish and inactive; they build no nests and seek no shelter even for their young. They sleep 15-22 hours a day, rising in the late afternoon to eat whatever may be close at hand. Being so passive, they are virtually un-trainable.  In other words, they are lazy.

The problem with this, is not a lack of energy.

For example, You may come home to a free evening but only have enough energy to drag yourself down the hall and collapse in your favorite chair.  You would really like to help around the house, but you’ve given all of your energy to your job that day.

Then, the phone rings and you barely have the energy to answer it.  Several guys are getting together at the gym and a basketball game is starting in forty-five minutes.

What happens next is a miracle. Energy, strength and vitality swarm back into your body and you are off to the gym.  It was a Choice you made!

Slothful doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing nothing.

Slothful is the failure to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.

It's like the kamikaze pilot who flew 17 missions… Think about it!!!
