Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever– Revelation 5:13b
When you go to the movies, they always show trailer at the start, to get you ready to see it before it ever comes out to the public for viewing. These trailers are also known as "previews of coming attractions."The apostle John had a Divine preview of the final judgment of the world and the triumphant return of Jesus Christ.
At that time, every part of God's creation will bow their knees (some voluntarily and joyfully, some involuntarily and reluctantly) and be made to declare His worthiness for all our praise and worship. No one will be able to deny His majesty in that day.
When Christ returns you will ascribe to him honor and glory. You will publicly recognize that all power comes from him and so all power should be spent for him. You will proclaim his eternal worthiness for all creation to extol His name.
The bigger question for us is, "Are you living that way now?" Are you honoring him in your relationships, at your job and in your private thoughts and plans? Do you see that all the strength you have—financially, emotionally, physically—comes from Christ and so it is only right that you should use it all to His glory?
If you will one day be singing the praises of Jesus Christ and heralding his infinite worthiness, why not begin doing it now? There is a freedom that comes from worshipping God and every believer needs to get as much practice now because Heaven will be filled with the Glory and Praise of Almighty God!
Faith Confession: Father I set my heart to worship you in my everyday life and experience. I want to grow deeper in love with you each day of my life and I will, as long as I have breath in my body, Praise and Worship Your name... Amen!
