All or Nothing!

Reading Assignment: Proverbs Chapters 1 - 3

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding (Proverbs 3:5)

Question:  How much room is there for doubt, when you trust God with ALL of your heart?  

The word ALL connotes nothing left over.  From trusting to loving, All means Everything!  When you love ALL people, there is no room for hating ANY.  When you Trust God with ALL, there is no room left, for doubt and unbelief!


Trusting God with your whole heart doesn't mean to mentally agree that what He said is true, but to step out in faith, without knowing the outcome before getting started.


Trusting God wholeheartedly means refusing to lean on your own understanding.  This does not mean that we give up the sound mind that God has given us, but that we are not to rely on our limited knowledge, experience and emotions to guide us through life.

The question to ask yourself is, "do I trust God in those places where my natural inclination is strongest against His leadership, direction or commandments? 


When the Bible clearly spells out God's plan, will I take it regardless of my personal options, preferences or preconceptions?

It is at those places where we are least inclined to listen to or follow God that we are most able to show our devotion and our trust in Him.  Is there an area in which you have opportunity to trust in the Lord, rather than in your own understanding?

Faith Confession:  Father, I choose to believe your Word in the face of opposition and I speak your Word to my mountain and I am victorious through the Word, in Jesus' name, Amen!
