Peace and Compromise

Peace and Compromise are two words that seem to go hand in hand.  Without some kind of compromise, there will not be Peace between enemies.  Both parties must do some give and take in order to bring about Peace.

On the other hand, Peace at the price of Compromise, is not peace at all.  This is not the give and take but the giving up of ones principles in order to appease someone.  That is not Real Peace!  Never give up the principles of the Word of God in order to bring about peace between you and another.

Sometimes you will be confronted with this principle, even with people you are closest too.  When you compromise your witness in order to please or appease another person, you are committing sin. No person is worth your giving up your testimony to please.

Youngsters aren't the only ones that fall into this either.  They do it trying to fit in with someone at school, etc... Adults do it for the exact same reason.  Trying to fit in at work, they don't live up to who they are when they compromise at the company party etc....

Don't become a partner in something wrong trying to make someone happy because you won't be making God happy.  Acts 4:19 tells us it best to please God rather than man!
