I just had a thought that I think is worth exploring... My last post was about those who are Faithful to their Churches around America. How many of you consider YOURSELF FAITHFUL to Your CHURCH?
If you consider yourself FAITHFUL to YOUR CHURCH, please hit me with at least one reason that you draw that conclusion!
Please, nobody tell me that you are a Tither or that you attend the services.... What are you doing that is helping to build the MINISTRYof the CHURCH you attend????
OK let's get this conversation started... Who is FIRST?
For me, it is a dedication of serving, whether it is in a main capacity or wherever needed...regardless of feeling or miles, I have set myself to serve in my church, and this is achieved first by showing up. But before I even get to church, I'm spending time praying for my Pastor, praying for my fellow church members, reaching out to those with like responsibilities, making preparations to get to church early, inviting those in my space to church, praying for all the church ministries that we would do our parts and also work in concert so the anointing can flow and so visitors will become members. In other words, my ministry/church and what I can do to support the vision is on my mind and filling my thoughts before I get there. But, I still have to add to my faithfulness by getting in position to serve and not allowing anything to deter me from showing up to do so.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, as soon as I awake every morning,I always pray for God's hand on everything that I attempt to do through-out the day. I Pray for my Pastor and First Lady's protection, wisdom, prosperity and health. I ask God to continue to bless me with a heart to serve in any capacity within the Kingdom that I am blessed to serve in. I ask God to keep me humble so that I can always give him Glory for everything that I am able to do. As a leader, I always ask him to bless me with the ability to lead by doing and not just being in a leadership position. I try and encourage those in positions of leadership to show up and encourage the young men and women in the congregation when they are there serving and need to know that we are all in this together. As a soldier in God's army, I want to lead from the front and not from the rear. I try and be one of the first at Church on service day's and evening's and not show up as one of the last. I want to be there to see what need's to be done and assist where-ever and when-ever I can. I try with to ensure that the Facility looks as good as it can so that both guests and the congregation can feel comfortable and ready to receive the annointed word. I think about what need's to be done and how best to do it not just on Sunday, but every day. I think that is what God expects from his people. I don't pretend to be the most knowledgable Christian, I am still growing in many many areas of my walk; but I do know that God expects and demands the best that I can give and he will do the rest. I share my testimony and ask people to Church every chance I can. Even if they ultimately attend another Church, I did what was expected of me. Most of all, I remain faithful to God, my Pastor and First Lady and this Ministry in all that I do and say. I never let my circumstances or the actions of others determine my level of faith. I leave that between them and God.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon everybody! How y'all doing? Pastor, I am not the one to say whether I'm faithful or not. I believe that GOD is FAITHFUL and JUST. It is HIS job to tag me with that title. I will just do what the HOLY SPIRIT leads me to according to all the talents, gifts, and abilities that GOD THE FATHER has already placed in me. Besides, God gave us you pastor. I'll let you be the final authority on earth to say whether I am faithful or not. As for a me doing my part and working GOD'S ministry and building HIS CHURCH, that is a daily ongoing mission that will never end. As silly as it seems to some, and no matter how weak it sounds to others, and whether it sounds cocky or arrogant to some, I daily surrender my spirit, my soul, and my body to THE LORD. Me and my house will serve the LORD. Alive by GOD's SPIRIT, being led and guided by HIS almighty WORD, plus being approved by seeking, trusting, and believing in THE FATHER, is how HE gets glory and draws all men unto HIM. This is also how GOD'S CHURCH and MINISTRY are both built and fulfilled. I don't know everything, but what I do know is that, despite of my unfaithfulness, GOD has always and will always be faithful to me. HE sent JESUS to the CROSS instead of me. For that I am forever grateful. Jesus died and came back to life, I was dead and through my faith(confidence) in CHRIST Jesus, I now live forever with him.
ReplyDeleteI know GOD is FAITHFUL and JUST!
