Because He Is My Shepherd

Reading Assignment:  Psalm 23 - 25


The Lord is my Shepherd, therefore...  I shall not Want (Lack)!



This verse in Psalm 23 is often read with the same mindset as one would read, "Mary had a little lamb!"  The idea that the Lord is your Shepherd should absolutely thrill you because of the implications.  


He gives us a tidbit of insight into this most amazing fact.  Psalm 1:1 says that because He (The Lord) is your Shepherd, this is the result... You shall never lack anything needed for your life.  Jesus said it another way in John 10:10, "I came to bring you into abundant life."


As the church of Jesus Christ, it is not the will of God that we go without our needs met.  He is as much your Provider as He is your Savior.  


It is time that we get the revelation that our God supplies all of our need, according to His riches in glory...  Philippians 4:19!  Because He is our Shepherd, we should never look to a day of lack in insufficiency.  It is always our Father's will to take the best care of His own children.  


Faith Confession:  Father, I trust you as my Provider and my Savior.  I believe that it is your desire for all my needs to be me and I confess it as done in my life, in the name of Jesus, Amen....
